I wanted to build something close to a gncc racer for playing around and running @ my local track.

I picked this bike up from a friend for $50,the plastics where shot and so where the tires, carb was gone, exhaust was missing, the gas tank was rusted out etc.It was junk as you could imagine.

It's a 2001 and was trash,good motor only 26hrs and nothing was bent,so that a plus.

So I got to doing some research and then ordered some parts.

Build list.
450r a arms
G force axle Trac loc itp wheels with 18x10x8 holshots
red inner and outer Mud covers
fox tripple rated front shocks and fox rear
maier race plastics
stock head pipe with white bro's slip
clarke plastic tank
braided brake lines
jardine nerf bars
moose bars
tag grips
asv levers
feather lite shifter
teather cord kill switch
stock wheels with new dunlop 20x10 rear and 21x7 front
rad axle lock

Parts and bikes current status.

The axle is not installed yet.I am also ordering a dmc graphic and seat kit.

I am going to be tearing it done in a few weeks when the parts all get here and are installed. After that it is off to be power coated.

White frame, nerf bars and bead lock rings.Red upper a arm with black lower and red swing arm.

I will be picking up a jb or ls +2 rear swing arm and 450 +2 +1 a arms used.
JB shock mount and +1 steering stem.

After that I am done.I am going to leave the motor alone other then maybe a top end rebuild.

My future plans are to install a cr250 motor I picked up of CL and build a nice hybrid.

I will have more pictures tomorrow with the axle installed and wheels on,it's been raining like crazy and cold the last two days.

Some parts came in and I got everything I could for today installed.

It's coming together and its getting close to time to tear down to head off to be PC'd.

looks like a good start.

just a tip... if you don't plan on making the front end any wider, i would suggest setting the axle to the +2 setting rather than the +4. having your front end slightly wider or at least equal with your rear is the ideal setup. having a wider rear will make you tip over easier.

450 a-arms wont fit, unless they newer years are different. The lower mounts on the fame are further apart than the 400ex / 300ex mounts. You could cut one of them off and reweld it so they will fit. I seen about three people on here have already done this.

I had to cut the bracket and weld it in place.Looks stock and handles great.

hope they're good welds, that's a lot of weight and pressure being put on them lol

It would be 50 inches wide.

I am thinking I am just going to leave the stock 450 arms on it until my suspension is done.See what it is like then and go from there.
