The boy did great today! Finished with over a 10 minute lead!

Waiting for the ATV race. There wasnt a big turn out but there were quite a few fast guys there for being a D7 local.

He was 3rd off the line (the Kawi doesnt fire so fast) but he was atleast able to get ahead of most of the others and be upfront in the first turn

The start had part of a MX track in it. Cody made short work of the 2nd place rider over a double and was on the leader as they hit the woods

By the time the first lap was complete, he had the lead. He had infact passed the leader as soon as they hit the woods, only to snag a tree a few miles in. He was soon back on track, ran down the leader and re-took the position.

He loved the track, nice and tight with good open sections to give you a break

He had pulled such a lead that I was able to stop him, go over the quad and send him back out with out rushing. The race was 1.5 hours + 1 lap so I knew anything could happen:p

I told him to ride smart and save some energy incase he needed to fend off anyone but with 3 laps to go, it was appearent he was doing fine.....fingers were crossed the quad wouldnt fail us:p

That was that, he had won his class! We had a blast and I wish every race could go this well:blah:

pappy it was awesome of you to come out and support district 7 !!! I am trying to keep it alive and so far I have signed up more racers in the past 3 months than the district had in the last 4 years combined !!!,,Congrats to Cody !!you were hammering thru the tight woods like a seasoned racer !!until your goggles too a crap on ya LOL .....but you kept going and won the race !!way to go !!!

Congrats Cody! That is a pretty sweet local track, we try and get up there a few times just to practice.
