I recently bought a Lone Star no-link swing arm for a trx250r and I was going to look for a shock. I need to know what length shock I need for XC racing for a Lone Star no -link set up.

Any suggestions???

where does the shock mount on the swinger? could you post a pick of the one your running?

you could run several different lengths depending on what ride height you want from my understanding

correct, it also matters where the shock mounts on the swinger.

Here is a picture of what mine looks like. I dont know if it is a DC4 or not. Can anyone tell me what it is. This is not mine, mine is just the same as this one. The guy that has this one says that this is a 15 3/4 " shock.

That setup was most likely on a stock frame or ran on a TT setup. 15 inch shock running that swing arm would not be practical on a no link frame. You are looking at around 17 in to 17 3/4 in shock length depending on the swing arm type. I have a no link lonestar frame with a DC 4 no link swinger. My shock is 17 1/4 in.

I am looking to use this on a stock frame for Cross Country racing. I do not have an aftermarket frame for this swing arm. Is that what you have?

the roll is pretty much the best no link swinger you can own IMHO

that set up you have would be perfect...

I have a Lone Star no-link swing arm and I want to use it on a stock 89 250R frame for Cross Country racing. The swing arm looks just like the red one in the picture above. I am not sur if it is the DC4 swing arm or not. Did Lone Star make more than 1 no-link swing arm?

they make 2 styles, the one in the pic and the oe style swinger,

the one in the pic is better set up for woods and mx IMO, the shock is more vertical like hte CR500 links, that set up is a good set up, your getting a pm also...
