ok guys my friend has a 04 yfz450 and it has a fresh rebuild with a 478cc big bore kit, hmf slip on and its jetted. but at the shop they jetted it but i dont know exactly what size jet they put in it. it bogs all the way from 1st to 5th gear.. any suggestions

You need to take it back to the shop. They probably dont have it jetted right. Or open the carb up and give let us know what jets are in it, and your elevation. If its got a carb kit we need to know which brand.

k i will have him open it up 2moro and look to see what size they have in it.. we are in louisiana so i really dont no the elevation..

he said he bought a jet kit and whateva the biggest jet is in there is what they put in his bike!

That doesnt necessarily mean its right. Off the top of my head I would recommend with a 185 main jet and and 48 pilot jet. But you should check with the the big bore kit manufacturer and see what they recommend. Or check out YFZ central they have a lot more info on that site. Just use the search engine, I bet you can find what other big bore yfz's jetting specs.
