400ex head

i got my 400ex head in today off of ebay. took it to my local dealer and they took the valves out and right around the valve seat was a small chip. The guy told me he wouldnt use the head because of the small chip.. what do u guys recommend!

I wouldn't. Anytime something is like that interal, it can't be good. Especially since valves are so specific. Just get it redone if possible, if not. Give the guy/gale a shout and ask for a refund? If not possible, just find another head.

ya ima try and get a refund, or try and fix it some kind of way if not ima have to get a new head :( any suggestions on fixing that?
