I just got my 400ex and i am looking for at least a full chassis skid, what would you recomend?
i like the Maier plastic skid plates but do they hold up and where can i get them?

what do you all think?

i would get PRM. i have a diamond plate aluminum skidplate under my engine that my friend made and gave to me. and i have a DG for my swingarm that was on my quad when i bought it.

well do u just want some protection or are u doin crazy trails? I really like the maier and its nice a light and i dont need serious protection cuz i only do MX

i don't think i will really need heavy duty protection....the plastic should protect against kick ups...i am not planning on riding on the skid or any thing, as long as a rock wont punchture anything

your missin the hole for the oil to drain from the engine drain bolt.

Go with the PRM. They have been on my 400ex for about 4 years now, and I have been nothing but happy with them. NO problems what so ever.

prm is the way to go, i have run it on my 400 for a year now in rocky areas and itis perfect.

I have a PRM full and A-arm skidplates, The fit prefectly they have a good mounting system that DOESN'T rattle :devil I have the 1/8" plates. They make nice parts:D

I forgot to add that I run a maier belly skid and it's holding up just fine to everything and everyone I've run over...:macho

prm plates i have had them for several years and the form fit and function have been perfect id buy another set from them if i needed to!!:D :D :D :D
