Thinking about installing a new clutch in my 440 how hard is it to do ? Im very tech. inclined. is it a big pain in the *** to do? Or is it easy but time consuming? Also what is a good after market clutch kit i dont want stock im not a racer but if im putting one in it will be an upgrade thanx

shouldnt be too bad for you to do with some basic tools. I would say an hour and you should be able to have it just about done if you have the plates and such soaked and ready to go. just take the right side cover off, unbolt the pressure plate, slide old plates out, slide new in, and reassemble. make sure you get a gasket for the cover too, it will most likely break while pulling it apart. that will probably be the most time consuming thing, cleaning the old gasket off lol. A good cheaper kit is the tusk set with the hd springs but the best i would recommend is a hinson. their clutches hold up to everything. steve
