yup widening it is the best thing you can do to the 660, get spacers, a-arms, or a diamond J widening kit for it. Or tell your father inlaw to lay off the booze before riding:devil:

if he is a heavy guy or agressive rider I would not suggest spacers

do it right and get arms and axle

if it was a light rider or very mild rider spacers are great

flipping front rims are alot cheaper than
a arms but increases bump steer

i am 6'3 320lbs on a 660 and the diamond J widening kit (6+) is like night and day difference it should be the first mod (at 180 shipped to your door) then get the G-force rear axle. it would take some serious skills to flip that

offset rims would be another idea....

All of the cheap ideas work ok if your just cruising around, but if you try to ride fast then those ideas are gonna make it handle horrible. It all depends on how/where you ride and your budget .

What I did to solve the 'tippy issue' was this;

Ditched the 22" tires (got 20's)
+4 LSR Axle (Used for 150)
Front Spacers (I know, I know, but it's my GF's bike)
YFZ front shocks (Used)
3" loweing link from Ebay (Don't get the adjustable turnbuckle style if you intend to jump at all, Mine is a solid piece)

It now sits low and wide. The difference was unbeliveable. I tried it on the MX track while my buddy was getting some seat time on my 450r and it handled alright. Bump steer was noticable, but nothing i couldnt account for with some body language. It handled the 40+ foot doubles and tables alright.

I cased one double though and that was enough for me haha OUCH!

The guy from the paper was there and snapped this pic.
