full body skid plate for mx?

i seen some people running full body skid plates for mx racing...and i was wondering if they are worth getting for mx? i have a 2006 trx450r if i should get one what would be the best kind to get?

I'm also thinking about getting one just to save my powder coating from getting rubbed off. i found some new ones on ebay for $60 shipped..they are cheap but i'm sure they will get the job done

I have one just to save my PC. I don't even notice it on there

just dont get an aluminum one, they are junk, they rattle all the time, they bend and break too. I use the maier ones for 4 seasons now and im still running the original one on my practice bike and the other one is 3 years old now. they hold up great, bolt on easy, and the bolts never break. I also like moto-xperts new poly ones, they look thicker then the maier.
