Guys , im new to the XC world and all I have left on my list is a good protection for the sprocket and rotor.

I dont think I want a full swingarm skidplate because they are lower ,

I was looking at the new guard from Blingstar I think it might be good , is there anything else similar to this ? what do you run ?

GTT poly rotor skid and sprocket guard is the only setup I will run. I run the single sprocket guard with a dirtworks chain guide with no issues. I ran the dual before this, and never had an issue with that, either.

I run a custom single sided sprocket guard, with one of the steel rotor guards Santo's dad was making a few years back. Great setup.

GT Thunder also has a new skid available. Great ground clearance and very durable.

I run the single Lonestar stainless steel sprocket guard and the stainless steel rotor guard. I've tried some of the other steel ones but they rust up and look like crap. I run a Glann Innovations chain guide.

I strengthen the rotor guard even more by heating a piece of UHMW in the oven for 20 minutes at 500 degrees then I sandwich that between the swingarm and the rotor guard. It really works and keeps the rotor guard from bending at all.

How much is that? It looks like you could run the sprocket guard as well.

$59.95+shipping

Also, the MXP Sprocket guard is a pretty nice product. You'll just have to find a rotor guard.

Has anyone seen or used the new Bling Start sprocket guard and rotor guard. It looks really nice. The rotor guard goes on the axle in place of the caliper mounting bracket. Might want to look into these, they seem really nice.

I personally wouldn't want all that pressure to be on the carrier. But they've been tested, so I guess it doesn't really effect the carrier. It just seems like the carrier would crack easily.
