Most reliable 450

I am thinking about to buy a 450r. Whats the most reliable year? 04? I use the quad only for mx. thanks

They both have their issues. I would say your most reliable would be an 04/05 with the updated crank bearings.

I find a new 04 from shop window, if i buy it only want to put a full exhaust. Whith stock bore and compression the crank bearings problem appear?

i never changed mine yet from an 04 and i'm still going....it's a chance but i think if it was bad it would have broke by now...but i would advise to get it replaced.

and i would do an exhaust and rejet it...and if your doing mx you would be best to get a-arms and an axle and revalve the shocks if possible...those are a big help on the track but it can be pricey

You're comparing a bike that's 5 YEARS newer... What do you think the answer is going to be? Plus look at the price tag diffrance between the 2.

I am talking about a 04 new with 0 hours. I find it in my town, all the years the quad stayed in a shop window. And the ktm also with 0 hours.

i would say the honda still...ive heard of a lot of problems with the ktm

in a series i raced last year a guy in it kept having one problem after another with it dont remeber what all happened but all i remeber was him sayin to not get a KTM

i just rode a ktm and it wasnt good at all..then the next day the guy was riding it and the wheel broke off..haha

you say you can get 04 left over if so do they have any more and who much

i breathe eat and (tihs) honda but in all reality they all break if not taken care of properly I have friends with every make of a 450 on the market I can't honestly say there is is ahuge difference between any of them. Buy what will make you happy.
