That little tank is the breather tank for your crankcase(gear box). If it is cracked you will be drawing unfiltered air into your carb(extreme lean)not to mention a whole bunch of nasties into it.Replace it dont plug it off

just put some tape around it or something to seal it, or replace it.

does it connect the airbox to the carb, or is it the tube from the engine to the white breather box?

then you gotta replace it, or fix it with tape or something if you can. I'd just replace it.

i don't recomend using duct tape all over your quad but if it fixes the problem and doesn't look to bad then do it. if it's a cheap part just replace it.

if it's part #13 in this pic it's only $5 from servicehonda.com or $7 from a dealer.

i'm not sure, but maybe the vent tube or something, if the parts guys at your dealer are smart they'll know what your talking about. just describe it to them. if you can print the pic i just put up, then just print it and show it to them.

if you buy a new one get it from your dealer, it may be $2 more but service honda charges $7 minimum for shipping.

Go to service honda and get the part number then just tell them the part number at the dealer.

if its cracked put a very thin layer of rubber cement on the crack and when it drys put a thicker layer over it just so the cement doesent seep into it
