Motorized Scooter!

Hello! I was wondering if anyone knew or if anyone knew where I could get the information to find if I need some sort of licence or what not to legally ride on the roads with a motorized scooter (the kind of scooter you usually ride my pushing yourself along with your foot). I know in Ohio you need to get a moped licences to legally ride on the streets with a motorized bicycle.
