so the piston in not in backwards . the connecting rod seems to be jammed in the crankshaft and that is why it doesnt want to kick over , there is some dis coloration where the connecting rod connects to the crank , what do you guys think do i need the whole new crankshaft or just the connecting rod???

your gunna have to split the cases and replace crank and bearings. the crank can be rebuilt to be as good as new. do a search. there are several places to get it done and at a reasonable cost.

thats fine en goed but make sure that the guy at the shop checks the trueness of the new crank before install and doesnt arbitrarily stick it in the engine.
