My stem is too short?? i dont get it I have a picture of it on the bike it came off of it came off of a stock replacement arens frame.

what do you guys think the problem is here? my plan was to build a bracket to move the stem clamp down? or I was gonna get a welder to smooth out the repaired area im not sure what to do here?
yes that is a poorly done spray can paint job.

i may be wrong but i think u are missing a part a shouldered spacer thingy dingy that goes into the lower bearing and the steer stem goes into that i dont remember for sure

stem sits higher on an arens frame, not sure why. have a good welder cut yours and put a spacer in it to your desired height.
