whats involved in doing the quick change cover?

is it just machine work?

They are machined and an inner ring is welded in, might be re-machined to true the surface after welding, plus holes bored and tapped etc... I'd personally like to design one to accept the crf250 clutch cover...

If anyone had access to a CNC vertical mill I could model one up.... LOL!!! :macho

A little bit of machine work and some tig welding.

The cover is machined off, there is a billet aluminum adaptor plate that gets welded in to the case and the billet clutch cover gets bolted to that.

i never seen one in person. do they machine the whole oem clutch bump off, open the hole then weld a new bump on? or do they just take off the face and attach there?

mine wasn't welded, looks like it's epoxied.

might have been but doesn't look like jbweld. there's no stress on it so jbweld should work fine if it was properly mixxed and applied.

im sure JP would work. i have jb in the centers of the LT250r cases, crank shaft snapped and punched a hole in them and didnt have an alum welder at the time, so i put some JP weld in there cause i thought it was worth a shot cause its small hole and the cases would press tight and hold it there... now i have an alum welder so if they broke i could fix them but its still working fine so im not too worried about it...
