Im from Kentucky and here we love burgoo, that being said. A buddy of mine is going to college down at Ole Miss and noone there knows what it is. I've found many people not from KY have no clue about it, I was jus wonderin if any of ya do.

Definition: A stew made with a variety of meats and vegetables, Burgoo is a Kentucky tradition, often cooked in large quantities and for events and barbecues. It can be cooked at times for more than 30 hours.

its almost like vegetable soup with a bunch of spices and what not, but the main ingredient is mutton.
