how do i know where to make the landing ramp, should i just pile snow up as a cushion and wherever i land is where i make the landing ramp?

put the landing 15-20 ft until your comfy

i was thinking to pile a whole bunch of snow up and jump off of the jump and land in the snow so i know where to put the landing, what gear should i hit it in, i was thinking second gear my first time. well it looks cool and i hope it works.

thats pretty tall for a 2nd gear jump, be careful it hurts so much jumping a blaster higher than 6ft and it doesn't really sound to good either. Chances are your front tires are just gonna climb over the berm. At a practice track i ride at we got berms like that and if I try to ride em the quad ends up trying to climb over it.

thanx nausty, i was just goona go over the jump slow at first to get the feel for it.

i am in edmonton.

all i can do is try with the berm and see what happens. I am looking into a banshee to get before spring, hopefully i can round one up for the coming mx season.

yah first time I built a snow jump about 4ft tall I came flying 3rd gear and the quad plowed part way through and stopped launching me over the bars.

saaaaaaweeeeeet, you are only like 20 minutes away from me, i actually rode from edmonton to cardiff before on my quad, it was pretty fun.

we should hook up some time, i am actually looking at selling my blaster and either purchasing a 400ex or blaster depending on which is better on track and trail, i am not looking fr huge speed, just good handling and such, know anywhere i can get one? i saw a used one in the bargain finder for $4,700 canada, it sounded pretty good, it was a 2001

Great Jump!:) I can't see the burms too well. They blend in.

put a big sheet of ply wood on the face of the jump to help distribute the weight over the whole face, so there will be no rutts or any thing

dabombdale

how would the plywood affect the lip of the jump?

I used to have problems with my blaster trying to climb the burms. But i recieved my new tires (fast trekkers front and rear). I highly recommend you get fast trekkers for a blaster, they are awesome for it, light weight and grippy.

I would be carefull on that. It looks like your just gonna fly right threw it :macho . I would make the jump about 2 feet longer, the jump will be much smoother when your riding on it.

well it is toooooo snowy to hitit on my quad, so i decided to pull my friend on it and he went off on his ski's, if anybody can host the videos for me or tell me where i can host them, that would be great. There are 5 in total.
