i have a 400ex and ithas a 426 bbk and all kind of other goodys and this weekend i got my *** handed to by a atc 250r i knew he was going to beat me but it was fun running with him but my ? is have any of u guys have been beat by a 400ex i might sell my 400 and by a trx 250r man they are bad ***:D :D

That 250r prolly wasn't stock at all.

no it wasnt stock it had 2mm over piston aftermarket carb +6 swingarm p and p jug but it was fun getting stomped

i had a highly modified 99 400ex and in 2002 i bought a 86 basically stock 250r. the 400ex sat for about 8 years til i finally sold it.

the 250r is so much better. the handling feels similiar to me but the power from bottom to top is night and day. im faster in every aspect of riding with the 250r.

i just called four stroke tech about there 500 kit and he said it still wont beat a 250r so the 400 might go up for sale

I used to do the same thing on my atc250r and I was GOOD at riding it. I'd kick some arse on my 200x, its all about the rider. I really haven't ridden a trike in 1 1/2 years, but the last time I did, quads were getting passed. Mine is far from stock, not even the frame is stock!!! The type of riding you were doing depends on how well you suit. If its mostly open stuff, you are done and being left in the dust. Woods riding and tight mx, then it all comes down to rider ability.

But the 100lbs that the ATC is missing has nothing to do with it? The truth here is a stock ATC250R is going to smoke a stock 400EX, and if it's a big bore 400EX, I'd bet that just a pipe and a set of reeds would be all that's need on the 250R to easily take care of that.
