clutch

im making this post for a friend. he recently got a 02 400ex and his clutch is super stiff. i rode mine and then got on his and it was a lot different. my clutch and clutch basket is aftermarket though and his is stock. but his also seemed to get stiffer in higher gears. anyone have any ideas on why it could be doing this and what we could do to fix it?

Did you see if the clutch cable is outof adjustment?

Is the clutch cable burnt anywhere? That made my friends almost impossible to pull, he got another cable and it was like new.

A new cable and AVS clutch leaver did wonders on mine.
