400 EX flywheel

I was curious about how much weight is removed from the flywheel itself, where the material is removed and roughly how much it usually cost to have this done??


Almost forgot what are some of your opinions on having this done ?

1st off were you at in KY,,,I'm in louisville. I had mine shaved down or lightened,,don't know how much was actually taken off,,,had it done at rocky ridge racing in Lietchfield..it helps the motor to rev faster,,so coming out of corners on a MX track or climbing big hills,,you can leave the motor a gear high and still get torgue out of it,,it won't bog down as bad. I think mine cost like $140 to have it done...it's not something that has to be done or is really necessary,,but if your racing MX it does help.
