has anyone seen or heard of a a laeger t-pin front end that is made for standard travel shocks? i've looked and searched everywhere for information. i know they are very rare. just how rare? has anyone seen some?

I don't think they are that rare, I have seen several sets, but they are older and most people only sell the long travel.

thanks guys i just wanted to make sure the ST existed before i made the purchase. i am the new owner of these +2 st t-pins.
picked 'em up this afternoon for a steal. very very happy.

bummer is now i might get rid of my laeger st +2 arms (non t-pin)

emullen: i am also going to use it on a XC bike. what shocks are you using?

400 for the protrax (craigslist purchase)
100 for the merrel hubs (new never mounted)

1 1/2 hours drive time (45 min each way). goooood deal i think

Sonofa, I just called that guy. I want some too at a good price because they are so expensive to rebuild. Did you get a look at his frame?

$400 I would say yes

how are the bushings and hymes?
do you need to rebuild
even so nice find
anything bent?

250renvy: i actually was not planning on going with a t pin setup (still might not). but i could not pass it up for the price. easily worth double? i think it would work well with my new laeger frame and possibly axis shocks

emullen: one tie rod is slightly bent, will need new bushings and the heims are like new. i would be able to mount it up today and ride if i really wanted to. the a arms are in remarkable condition.

to all: i will make or outsource (machine) any parts i ever need for this setup. i refuse to purchase anything from laeger when you can go to a local bearing distributor or machine shop and get anything you need. thats the benefit of having friends and family in the machining industry.

oh: the frame...... propeg narrow front in black powder.. chrome subframe. one crack completely around the right side (propeg mount). don't remember seeing a laeger manufacturing tag (vin if you will). really did not want to spend to much time looking at it or i might of bought it. he wanted 800 obo. i probable could get it for 600 or less.

Nice find Joe, may have to hit you up on those replacement protrax parts, any idea what a complete set would cost?

Also sent you a message on the non protrax arms.

Thanks.
