Oil Mod?

I HEAR PEOPLE TALKING ABOUT HOW THE 04-06 YFZS ARE SELF DESTRUCTING DUE TO OILING PROBLEMS. IS THE OIL MOD A CRITICAL MUST HAVE ON THESE MODELS?? i KEEP MY OIL CHANGED RELIGIOUSLY AND KEEP THE LOWER TUBE SCREEN CLEANED.JUST WONDERING IF I NEED TO BITE THE BULLET AND DO THE OIL MOD.

Some say it's cheap insurance. I've had my 05 motor rebuilt twice by a national shop and the owner still believes the oil mod is unnecessary (as recently as this past January). Change the oil frequently and use a high quality oil.

Mine is in the shop now getting the 07 oil UPGRADE!! I look at it this way if it wasn't necessary why would they change the design in 07... its under $200 for everything I would say do it and save yourself a headache!! just my 2cents...
