What is the difference between these wheels? I ride/race hare scrambles and do the occasional jump. Is one better than the other for these conditions?

Get the cf1r. Email or pm me and I can give you a name and number that has the best price on hipers.

Hiper only makes 3 different atv wheels.

Tech 3 -
CF1A-
CF1R-

Tech 3 is the billet center wheel
CF1A is the all carbon wheel
CF1R is the all carbon ( colored center ) wheel - 25% more strength

Personally, I would go with the Tech3. I've heard too many people say the all carbon wheels are weaker.

I had CF1a's on my KFX700 before I traded it. They are stronger than aluminum but not the strongest wheel that Hiper makes. I would think that for anything other than a hardcore racer they would be fine. When I spoke to Hiper they informed me that CF1a's are a recreational level wheel.
Additionally, I spoke to a pro-level rider who said that he and his team had been using CF1's (not the a) for the last 2 seasons without any problems. CF1's are stronger than the CF1a's.
So, in my opinion, I would get the CF1 or CF1a's and spare the expense of the Tech 3's. However, if racing is what makes you money and you can't afford a failure I would get Tech 3's as they are the strongest wheel Hiper makes.
