i have an 06 with elec start, Just swapped motors, didnt change any electrical stuff, when i hit the starter, the solenoid buzzes, tried another solenoid same thing, btw both came off running quads a few weeks before, what do you think i wrong, i dont want to buy another solenoid, but that is what everyone else is saying, what else could it be?

sounds like u got a bad ground some where. check all ur ground connections and make sure u didnt leave 1 off. ur silonoid is workin if its clickin. sounds like u just got a voltage drop. if it was workin b4 u took it apart it most likely still does. just check all ur connection positive and negitives and ull b fine.

bypass it by putting a large screw driver across the terminals.....it sounds to me that its the starter take it off and bench test it......it its locked up it will make the solenoid click

ive jumped the two terminals already, they jumped, so if the starter is in a bind, it will do that, oh and if anyone is wondering, i already put a new battery in, so if i take off the starter, and spin the sprocket, it will free it up?

if its the starter try tappin on it with the handle of a hammer or something. if its just stuck abit it will free up. but i really dont think thats the problem since it worked when u took it off but its possible. also try turnin the motor alittle bit. put n 5th gear so its easy 2 push and push it so the back wheels turn the motor alittle 2 get it off that stroke. it might be on the compressoin stroke. if the vavles r out of adjustment. it can make it hard 4 the starter 2 turn the motor over. worth a try 2 eliminate that problem.

the valves shouldnt be an issue, its a fresh motor, and the valves are perfect, i had to take the starter off cause a nut went down between it and the cylander, i might of made it bind when i put it back on there
