Having problems hooking up an 04 fcr carb from a 450 bike to a trx 450r quad, the wiring doesnt match up and was wondering how it should be wired and how the hot start works

you don't need the wiring or hot start. You can wire in the TPS to your harness if you want to but I don't think it's necessary.

You do not need any of the wiring.. Nore do I think in 04 they had the FCR carb yet..

nope no FCR in 04 or 05 but it's a must once you have a decent build going

is it a pain to get a 06 450r carb on a 05?

the 06 carb is taller than the 05 so youll need to trim it a bit or use a 06 fuel tank.I got a 06 carb i was gonna put on my o4 but just looking at it it looks huge plus mine doesnt have the hot start.So ill put it on my z440 and get another fcr off a mx bike;)
