I have some money saved up in the bank, have my license, and have started to work on my bronco. One thing i have always hated was the rake the truck has stock(the low nose and high tail). I have always hated that look on any truck, ecspecially mine. Im getting a complete bumper mounting kit from LMC truck and i saw there coil spring leveling kit. I have heard bad things about leveling kits in the past but wanted a definative answer. they are a set of springs for the front that are said to be an inch and a half taller. are these good? also, its probably not going to be permanent, i intend on lifting completely in the near future. and could me and a buddy install them with our hands and a decent set of tools?

any feedback would be great :)

how wierd. what year, model, etc is your truck?

i have a 2wd 05 f150. it took me 3 hours to put on a hellbent 2.5" leveling kit and remove my lowering shackles. you HAVE to get an alignment after installing a leveling kit. Im going to get mine first thing in the morning. if you have any questions shoot me an email at thekx125@yahoo.com

The kit that is installed on my Toyota is a 3" front and it's a spacer that gets installed on top of the strut . It takes away the rake perfectly so that the truck sits nice and level. I haven't heard anything bad about leveling kits ( just buy a good makes) and they are a breeze to install. It took my mechanic no time at all to install it ... and as mentioned , you need to have an alignent done asap.

$180 from NCD for a leveling kit. Kinda a pita to put on, atleast my dad's was. I just bought an 08 f150 today, so I'll be ordering one here shortly.

there is nothing wrong with leveling kits. you could either go with a coil spacer or just a longer coil.. either way it will be fine.

my heart goes out to you, with that ttb front axle:p

for the 08 f150 your gonna want a 2" leveling kit to get the same stance as the picture i posted. 06+ is like that, they sit .5" higher in the front. and as far as issues, if you stick with 2" you will have no problems. 2.5" is known to hurt ball joints but not nearly as much as 3" do to the severe angles they are put through.

this is the website for the 69 dollar leveling kit. its quality stuff. the only other brand that even competes would be autospring on ebay.

all the info above is for f150's, idk about the others.

you can get away with a d44 in the bronco.. i bought one for 150 bucks.. new u joints and rotors and a lot of time she was like brand new. granted i fabricated a lot of things my self it costed me like 250$ to do.

finding a d60 will be costly though.

the only reason i want to do that is because
A: i know ttb starts to get very stressed when 36+ inch tires get put on and you venture off pavement

and B: i hate the way ttb looks lifted.:p

I wheel regularly on a D28 ttb with 35's. Sure I break an occasional part, but the 28 is junk. You can flex just as good and wheel just as good with a D35 as you can a D44. I have a D35 with 4.88's for my ranger, but more or less lost interest in putting it in. I have about $6000 worth of parts sitting for the ranger I just don't feel like working on it.

i know some dont. my buddys 94 F150 has a 6inch suspension lift and it looks okay.

i also know a kid that lifted his bronco and it looks ghetto as hell, its like the suspension extended and then never went back down. i understand thats how the lift is made but it looks like **** to me.

Autofab.com is the place to go. Get the 4" kit and you'll have a nice lift this isn't just some pos using spacers and springs or drop down brackets. It will still handle well, possibly better than stock. I had 2wd kit on my ranger and loved it.
