What a humble human being. Great interview ATVRiders!

It's very disappointing to me he won't be returning on an ATV this season. This gentleman deserves to have a factory ridee and needs to be around the MX racing scene to be spread around the positive attitude he exudes.

A very valuable asset to the racing communitty and I'll miss following him this season. Huge inspiration for us "mature" racers.....older isn't even the correct term!

Welcome to the business side of the sport (which isnt a sport at that level, its all business)

As someone posted, it doesnt look like Doug will be hurting for things to do. It is of great satisfaction to me knowing he leaves us healthy, with a career most could only dream of, and with the people still supporting him 110%.

I personally think he should have been retained for one more season on the quad then offered a position inside the team. I cant imagine a team tossing aside all he has to offer but in this economy anything can happen.

I cant believe nobody out there wants to put a contender on there machine, did he get any others and turn them down or really he has no body?

huge bummer...but the other 30-40 riders who regularly compete for the main must be overjoyed not having to race the "old" man. :p

I forgot to mention that what's so ironic is that he's probably gonna have more fun away from actually dealing with the pressures of winning on a Factory ride.

This guy is going out with a BANG. He's got alot of stuff to keep him occupied during his time off, not to mention he wants to persue a commercial pilot's licence!
