Vmax Sx

Does anybody around here have or know anything about a 97 VMAX SX 600. Just wondering about reliability and performance, or anything else that is special about that model. I have a chance to pick one up in perfect condition and its pretty cheap. Ay input would be greatly appreciated.

great sled. yamaha has very reliable sled motors. im assuming its a tripple. so it will have very good fuel economy. yamaha's do however use more oil then other sleds so keep an eye on your oil level alot. have fun

I just bought a 1998 Vmax SX for my woman and it's a good sled. It's a twin cylinder newer bodystyle sled. I believe the '97's are as well.

No complaints on the sled here, but my girlfriend never rides it....I'd sell it if somebody was interested $1800.

My friend owns one... Its not bad, we've had troubles starting it on occasion, just keep it maintained and it should be fine...
