This could be a good thread, I would love to hear who is running what jetting.

I have a stock exaust just removed the sparkarrestor and want to jet mine but never got around to it.

07 450R. I think I can go with a 150 main/needle and a 55 pilot? Any suggestions from experience? It is too lean from the factory without doubt.

With my motoworks exhaust, airbox lid removed and a K&N I have a 185 main and adjusted my stock pilot, it runs pretty well like that.

Bike is a 05 450r

04/05 jetting is totally different then 06+ jetting with the FCR carbs.

For an 08 with an exhuast and air box lid removed the HRC jetting will be fine.

You can just pick up a Honda HRC jet kit if you want or buy individual jets.

165MJ
#50 Leak jet
HRC needle (not required but helps power)

Turn the A/F screw to 2.5 turns out then tune from there.
Depending on the exhaust you MIGHT need to up to a 48 pilot.

If you don't install the leak jet you will have a bad bog when u snap the throttle

These are just the basic starting point jets that are recommended most of the time, you might have to tune further based on how it runs.

If your removing the air box lid follow the jetting I recommended above.
