Hi guys i.ve searched the forums and came to the conclusion that you can't fit a 300ex arm on the 400!.. the thing is that a found a great deal on a late model +2 lonestar A arms set but they say it's for a 250x and 300ex! i've asked the seller if it will work on the 400ex and he told me YES ! but i'm not really sure of this ! any help anyone?

it's a +2+1 late model lonestar A arms set + tierod ends!

thnx

I'm pretty sure he's wrong. 250r arms will work, but 250X/300EX arms won't.

yes they do. 400 arms fit perfecly on a 300. 300 arms will work on 400ex. and most 300ex aftermarket arms are origionally made for a 400ex

I mean, I'm sure they'll bolt up, but I would think they're going to be shorter than EX arms.

I realize that but +2 on a 300EX and +2 on a 400EX aren't necessarily going to be the same.

the shock mounts are in a different location on 300ex a-arms. yes, they will bolt up to the frame, but +2 for a 300ex will set you at stock width on a 400.

how could 300ex a-arms be originally made for a 400 when the shocks on a 250x/300ex are about two inches shorter than 400's?

plus 2 300ex arms will be slighly longer than a 400ex stock arms. 400 arms on a 300ex are like +1.5. and ive just realised that the shock mounts on the arms will be different. get 400ex arms.
