I have a 2008 polaris outlaw 525 irs ktm. i want to install the stainless oil filters but dont know which tho buy.

i have the same quad and i just buy the ktm ones from the dealership.

My opinion, none of the stainless filters are the best. I had one on my Predator and will never get another one again. They are a pain in the butt to clean and don't filter nearly as well as typical filter materials. They also have a soft rubber seal so you have to be super careful in order for that not to kink up when you put the filters on the "nipples" inside the motor. If this happens, you basically have no filter. Overall, stick with a standard filter.

I agree w/ Nick. There are no good steel mesh filters. Stick with the paper element type.

Damn it guys i want ed one of these anyway what oil filters you guys running in the ktm engines?

I use K&N oil filers the SS only good too 35 microns paper 30 to 20 microns some down to 10 microns
