HUGE birhtday present!!!!!

:D :D I turned 35 today and I got a present from my in-laws.
By far the best present I ever got. Three and a half years ago I had to sell my brand new pick up so my wife could stay home with our son who needed heart surgery. Well today my father-in-law bought me a truck to replace it.:D I Got him a sweet deal on a new 3.2TL typeS at work, and se used part of the money he saved, ($10,000) to "get me a little something for my birthday" as he put it.

He saw me doing a used car inspection on it Thursday when he came in to shop for his new TL. And I told him in small talk it was a nice truck. Well I guess he thought I would like to have it so he bought it for me yesterday on my day off.
I about **** and fell back in it! I get to take delivery of it Monday at work. I'll post pics monday night.

Oh its a '89 yota 4X4xcab V6 with 61,000 on it.

Sorry to ramble on but DAMN!! Im stoked:D :D :D

Congrats! What a great gesture by your father law, sounds like you have a really great family! :D I had a 1994 Toyota 4x4 - looked exactly like yours only mine was red. I loved that truck and I am sure you will love yours just as much! :p

coool thats all my buddiea around here drive... one of my good dudes. had a 2wheel drive low rider lookin thing..it was brnd new and now its lifed about 25" and 4x4...ive never seen and auto yota..... soooo its probabl a manual

Its not an SR5 package but heck I aint complainin'! 61k miles on a V6. I was told they were detailing it and would be on my hoist when I get to work on Monday:D

Oh yah he is fine. He had open heart surgery at 4 1/2 months old. He will be four in May, and is on the go all the time. He may need another surgery in his teens, but the doctors cant be sure until then.


This is my fifth truck and second Toyota. First truck was a 85 Ranger, then I got a 79 F250 highboy. Then it was an 86 toyota SR5 22RETurbo and the last truck was a 99 DakotaXcab 4WD 5.2L fully loaded. That was the one I had to sell for David.
