carb size

I took my new carb out today and measured the bore because iv had a heck of a time getting it inside the boots. Its larger then my stock one but the size i got was 1.45in (36.83mm). would that be considered a 36mm carb? I though 36 was the smallest but my stock carb is smaller then this.

yea. stock is 34, you have a 36. You should a gain in power with that 36 though.

ow so 34 is the smallest they made. I figured something was up because i had to fight the old one to get it into the boots and this new one requires some pry bar action to get it all the way on.

heat that boot up en put it on the carb and allow to cool. it will retain better memory afterwards. makes it a whole lot nicer in the future when you need to remove en re-install. ;)

i was thinking of doing that but i couldnt find my heat gun and wasnt about to use the propane torch

neat boiling water works better than a heat gun imo.
