How difficult or easy is the swap? Advantages of a 450 swinger?

Isn't the '06-'07 450r swinger even longer?

Maybe it's that '06 and up are longer than '04-'05. I'm not sure, but I know that the '04-'05s are shortest.

The 06-09 are all the same length which is longer then the 04-05 (about an inch). My question is the metal collars that go in the front pivot. Do you have to use the 400ex ones?

From what I remember in the "450r swinger all cleared up" thread the 450r swingers will bolt right up to any EX using all the stock EX parts. The hardest part is getting the old one off. The bolt can be a real pain to get out.

Alright Thanks. I have an 07 450r swinger and its a little tight around the 400ex casing. I guess its normal

Hmm, I'm not sure. Might want to wait to see if anyone else knows. I really want to put a 450r swinger on mine, though. I'm just worried about the hassle of taking the old one off haha.

Read my post about this. its called swingarm all cleared up. I did use the spacers from the 400ex though.
