Quad won't start

We tried to go to race this weekend and when the bike was idling through the pits it just died and wouldn't start again. we got it running by bump starting and it ran for five minutes and it would pop a little bit when accelerating, and now it wont start again.

fuel, fire and compression...theres an issue with one of the three.
are you getting fuel through the carb?

did you pull the plug and see if you have spark?

those are the easy ones. if you have a yes for both then pull the cover and check the valves.

I had the plug go bad in mine last fall. Would work fine when motor was cold but once it warmed up the plug was acting up.

My 07 did this and it was the throttle safety switch( whatever its called). I adjusted it and fired right up.

figured it out the coil wire was bent to where it was grounding to the frame
