**400ex motocross budget build thread**

Well i am building my 400ex to mx spec to race district 3 in central new york starting in april.

the Plans:

- 450r front shocks by C&D racing
- 400ex rear by C&D racing
- Houser +2s
- ITP gp front rims w/ maxxis razr mx tires
- RPM dominator 2 axle and rpm carrier
- ITP pro locks rims w/ maxxis razr mx tires
- ASV pro perch and brake lever
- AC Stadium bumper
- Renthal sprockets and DID chain
- Streamline rotars
- and hp adding stickers

im in canandaigua ny. never raced or been to walden. thats down near albany i believe. im racing cnymra this year. frozen ocean, unadilla, royal mountain, broome-tioga, thunder ridge, motomasters. there all 2-3 hrs east of me

man thats a drive but i guess if you enjoy it, it doesnt matter i would like to get into racing as i said but need some money too haha howd you go about geting sponsors? also your 400 is lookin sick

500 for the fronts. and since i did the rear at the same time it was 900 all together. but the rear alone is 500

Nice looking quad. I to race d3 and the tracks are tons of fun. I started on a 400ex then made several jumps around trying diff quads and landed back on an ex. I will be racing it this year and will keep my eye out for u at the track my first race will be motomasters at the end of april. We bring a huge group of quads with us ( usually 6-7 guys) and we have been doing it for 8 years now. Good luck in the upcoming season and be safe.

yes i am planning on starting on the 3rd but if its a mudder i wont be. my race number is 63, name Jesse Miller will be on my plates. im in quad novice, but will most likely be promoted to am. the bike feels like a whole new machine so ill still be slower come motomasters. whats your number and class? ill look for you too.

andif you dont mind, could you explain to me the format? like signup closes at 9, but when does practice start? are our motos spaced out? how long are they? thanks man

My number is 49 (Chris McBroom) and i will either be running the +25 class or the novice class for the simple fact that i dont get the chance to race as much as i would like. As far as the format goes yes the motos will be spaced out and practice starts at 8:30 at most tracks, as far as laps go they very at each track some times the novice riders go 3 laps sometimes we go for 4 laps it just depends on the track and track conditions. The length of the motos also depends on the track as some are obviously longer tracks then others. So u got ur quad all ready to rock and roll now? I am still lacking some very key parts and pieces before i can even think about getting out there. Hope we get everything up and running here soon. Look forward to seeing ya soon and wish u the best of luck on the 3rd if its worth u going.

3 laps seems short. 4 is alright. i live 3.5 hours west of royal mt so even for frozen i have to leave at 5am. thats the only crappy part. ill let you know how everything goes in april. the axle is being put in as i type this. my rear rims and tires are on backorder though. do you have a myspace or facebook?

I know its the travel part of it that sucks it can make for a long day thats for sure. In the end its worth it cuz its a lot of fun. I dont personaly have a myspace but my brothers and nephews do u can look them up Bruce McBroom is my oldest brother and Joe McBroom is my other brother.
