ok well i just got my engine back together lastnight, did a 426 resleved cylinder and JE 88mm with GTT engine studs, HD timing chain, all new valves, valve guilds, valve springs, and stage 2 Hotcams. well got it all back together, did a few heat cycles and started out with a 160 main jet 40 pilot, and airbox lid on, that was WAY lean the pipe was cherry red, then went with 175 main jet and 45 pilot and the jetting seemed pretty good, so after puttin the whole quad back together this mornin we went riding and did a plug chop and it was still a LITTLE lean but the next biggest size jet my dad had was a 200 so put that in there and took the lid off to lean that big jet down a little and it ran pretty good suprisingly but i would perfer to keep my airbox lid on sense the stuff we ride can get kinda sloppy sometimes, were thinking about goin witha 180, to 185 jet as soon as we can get to the dealership, and put the lid back on

whats your opinions on the jetting

Stock carb? If so, 42 or 45 pilot, needle on 4th notch and 180 main with lid off.

42 pilot, needle on 4th notch and 172-175 main with lid on.

yes stock carb....and the first one i want the lid on, and second one is basically what i had it at
