agreed bro, i am always switching tires to make sure if i am riding on alot of blacktop on the trails the razrs come off and the stockers go on. lol. steve

lol ya i thight riding in my neighborhood was fun until i got a huge ticket!! was ring my road behind house and was pulling a 5 gear wheelie with one foot in the grab bar and i flew by cop that was driving by lol i was 5th pinned :devil:

and also i figured out that the tires go by by when you ride on the road:blah:

i dont ride on a road that isnt a trail. i ride local trails that have 5 or 6 miles of roads. i hate seeing the razrs on the road so i take them off. steve

those are incorrectly labeled as maxiss they are cst ambush. cheap is ok but when it comes to those i wouldnt go that cheap. those are junk unless your going to groove them yourself. they are like the duro berm raiders, they work awsome as soon as you take a chainsaw to them.:eek2:

but id spend a little more and get some better tires, the gbc x rex is way better looking than them and not too much more.

do you have personal experience with the ambushes?

personal as in under my machine no. but i have rode on them on a yfz450 and i have used the berm raiders on my 400 and many other quads. i find that the more open the knobs are the more bite they have. the burm raiders have a solid knob like the ambush and if you slice them in half they will perform alot better.

i made my berm raiders directional, i cut each lug at an angle to make a "V" in the tread. they work way better now. i also took off the small outside lug and left the big ones for a better bite in muddy conditions, but i split them too.

the ambush tires do slightly better on loose dirt roads and stuff than the berm raiders but for a holeshot/razr look alike they are one of the worst.

personally i got away from all those tires, im now rockin the kenda klaw xc package and lovin it. not to mention way better on the wallet. lol

iv had these ties on my quad and his opinion is fine but i rode the ambush tires and they ride real well..they hook up nice...i put the thread so any one who rides hard and goes through alot of tires could get some cheap.

when i had theses tires they lasted me a whole season of hard mx riding and they worked fine for the price:cool:

yes there not as nice as kenda xc tires but they work good and ride well and its better then having no tires:)
