Which way does the cam face when putting in time

I'm putting my striker back together and I need to know which way does the can need to face when I put it in time. Also on the head do all the studs need a washer ans the cap bolt I cannot remember how I took it apart what even holds down the head. Thanks

the cam should face down with the lobes. so there is no pressure on the cover or the rockers with the crank at tdc. the washers i am not sure about, i would check out the schematic to see if it shows how it goes. steve
