any other ways to get rid of the reverse on the plastic?

like hot start lever or something of that sort?

yup it has been done with a hot start but you have to get the hot start lever and make a cable that works with the rod mechanism

you can get on ebay or any place that sells stock parts, get a kfx450 reverse set up, its mounts on the handle bars like a hot start, check out a kfx450 and youll see, might take a little modification or maybe none at all but u should be able to make it work

DRD sells a conversion that mounts on the bars I think it runs about 60 for it. Its simple to install and looks good

dvx has them on the frame get a mount for one of them puts it just below the tank right hand side
