great at first i was afraid that you were only gonna do mx, how well will the shocks do in both mx and xc, i would think they would only be good at one kind of racing.

01-26-2003, 07:57 AM
Well the rear shock will be coming off and I'll be putting my stocker back on which was rebuilt for MX racing,,and the fronts were setup for both MX and XC,,I'll just have to do some adjusting and with the help of Marty@Quadshop..they might need revalving or resprung to accomplish both types of racing...they are setup more for XC than MX..like 35% mx and 65% XC..

I can already tell with the +1 stem and new shocks it's gonna rip thru the woods like a bat outa he11...

Rico, I noticed that you don't have a chain slider on your swingarm. There is a place for it, but you don't have one installed. I would be afraid that during a race the chain would slap up against it and maybe break the chain or cause it to throw the chain. Just wondering if you were going to install one, if you haven't done so already.

I've got a houser chain guide but it will not work with any skid plate that is made...honestly I don't know of any chain guides that work with aftermarket skids..if anyone knows please show me a pic..I'm very much aware of TM designs but i need facts stating it will work not..hey so and so has them dude...:blah

back to the subject,,,I've had my quad for 2.5 years and I just replaced the stock chain and sprockets..they had very little wear and I've never thrown a chain or broke one before..i've also rode for 1 year with no skid and swingarm skid with no problems...proper maint. will work wonders....;) :D
