I was impressed with that no way any high school around here would ever think about having anything like that. way to much liability and expense. Its awesome that you got it.

Liability wasnt a problem what so ever, and grant money is out there all over the place. The problem is...most teachers in my position dont want anything more than a job from it. I WANT to bring it to the top, not just let it lay. Just gotta do it...

I started teaching high school about 5 years ago, shortly after I started, they changed the standards. Didnt take me long to figure out that I could cross the standards into automotive and MC/ATV technology as well, so I did. I also started a Motorsports club that is now the largest club on campus, even bigger than the football team. We also have a MC/ATV dyno and a ton of special service tools that I bought with grant money that I applied for and went after.

Thats sweet that they do that in high school. We used to ride our wheelers to the school but we had to leave them on the other side of the fence in the orchard... there were a couple of times when our auto teacher would let us sneak one over to the shop to let us work on it. I would of made straight A's if we had that class...

Wow I read that article when I got it and said "wow I wish I had that!" and congrats for making it happen! Hope these become more common.

Congrats on making that happen man. I would have loved that when I was in H.S. My auto teacher was a dick though so I don't think I could have talked him into it. :o
