First there is no powder coating being done, not in the budget or the time. The frame is stock, checked for cracks not gusseted. I have not raced or rode a 2 stroke in 14 years, if this goes good I will be getting an aftermarket frame. Wanted to make sure my body can still with stand the bashing of MX before making that big of an investment. I would also like to thank everybody that has helped me get this R coming together:
Lenny at Duncan Racing
Mark Baldwin
Eric at Custom Axis
Addicted to Mud
Neil
and everybody that has gave me info or deals on parts from this site.

Here it is so far.

What I started with: 88250R with Jb racing +2 a arms, steering stem, and swing arm. Axecaliber +4 axle.

Added the front bumper. Have always had to have a Jaws bumper since watching Donny "The Bulldog" Banks as a teenager.

Added a set of Roll +3 LoboII A arms and 05 450R knuckles, hubs, rotors, and brake system.

Got the Hyper beadlocks on and a different seat.http://jb.zippytech.com/~kevin/250R/wheelsseaton.JPG

Waiting to get the cylinder back from Neil, he is working his magic on it. Then I will put it all together.

Looking good. Too bad you have those beautiful shocks covered, have you thought about QuadTech carbon fiber guards?

i agree kills the looks and covers like that just wear the paint off the springs and hold dust inside which turns to mudd at the bottom when you was it, unless you remove the covers.
your bike looks great though sweet ride!!!!

I have seen them. CustomAxis told me to run the outer wears, as it was the best way to protect the shock. And as this is my first set of good aftermarket shocks I went with what they told me. I will look in to the QT guards though. Thanks.

Thanks for the comments guys. Addictedtomud keep your slobbers off my shocks! Took an hour to get them cleaned up. lol

Very nice build. I love these threads. Had a bumper just like that back on my first 250r. Keep us posted.

Hinson works 12 finger clutch basket. Uses the CR125/CRF250 fibers.

Cylinder back from Neil at NPRD working his magic. And does she run, allows my 330 pound rear end to keep up with camed and piped 450s. 67.5 bore stock stroke.

My answer to the pipe melting my plastic. So far it is working great.

Got her finished except for the pipe. Had to get her together for her first race. Back in the day Eichner and Ehrhardt where my favorite riders, so I went with the Duncan racing look from the 90's.

Front view with the shock wears off, so you guys can see the shocks.

Watch out she bites!

Took her to the first race last sunday, but didnt make it past practice. Shocks felt wonderfull, and she handled like a dream. I had surgery on the tendons in my right arm last fall for tears. I tore something loose inside my elbow practicing 3 days before the race. I tried but when my elbow goes nuts I cant make my hand work. Hopefully they get me repaired soon. Hope you like it.
