What's wrong with the one that came on it? I've never heard of this.

i know right....

anyway
I dont think your going to find a pic that you want. I have never heard of people doing this, nor do I know why they would. The stock on fits perfect. Im not sure if my memory is good, but the last overflow bottle i saw was on a scrambler and it was like 6 inch tall and wouldnt have anywhere to go on the honda....

I can't see the pic because of these work computers, but are you talking about what is on this quad (http://www.exriders.com/vbb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=421589&highlight=lower+plastic)?

If so, it looks like he just drilled a hole on the plastic and bolted it on.

yes i was just wondering if you have to space it out

Cant see why you'd want to do that, but anyways i see no reason why it couldn't bolt onto the stock plastic shroud. You'd need few holes drilled and that but nothing to hard.

The reason the one is mounted like that in my link, is because it has the Walsh body lowering kit installed. I don't think there is enough room for the stock overflow with that setup.

and on the yfz's with lt rears when it bottoms out the stock one hits something and breaks
had it happen twice on my walsh yfz... i made my own bottle out of a water bottle and zip ties haha
but im pretty sure you can buy that bottle in the pics from walsh

Just so ya know....on the polaris's it has been known to crack the radiator, due to how it is mounted directly into the radiator. Just something to consider. ....might not be worth the reason to move in the first place.

when you put the bottle on the shrouds your not mounting it to the radiator

Thats my bike with the lowering kit. I work at Walsh and we have always done it that way. alot easier to check and faster to fill. if youre boiling over u cant see it under the hood. much better set up., started with the Crf's here is another pic on my other honda thats not lowered,

So if i just get one of these, hook it up the same way the stock one is, and fill it like 1/4 of the way with coolant it will work fine? seems much more simple/easy than taking the hood off

yes.

I actually see some sense in that now.. Seems like a pretty good job having it mounted out there. Easier to get at, easier to check levels.

My only concern would it not get ploughed in dirt and mud?? Would that matter..

How does that work, with it not being above (or at the same height) as the current bottle? Shouldn't the max line be right at the height of the top of the radiator? Just doesn't look like that in the pic

Pretty sure it will suck it up into the radiator
