Looking for a transponder that will work for the ATVMX Series

I never thought of buyer one on here. Are they the same every year? I thought at the beginning of the season everyone had to buy a new one? I always just rented them at the races but was going to buy them this year since we will be hitting more than 2 nationals.

i was under the impression that you just keep useing them. i will let you know if i find any.

Yes they will be the same kind as last year. last year everone had to buy new ones because they had to change brands or something like that.

One thing I din't know until I got on the transponder website was you cannot buy them at the races. They can only be bought online. I'm glad I read that I was just planning to buy them at Alabama.

Last couple years you could buy them at the track. What changed?

I know, thats what I was planning to do. When you go on the ATVmotocross website under amateurs then transponders, this is what comes up. The last 2 sentences deal with buying them.

"The Trackside Transponder by WEER will be used to score all 11 of the ATVA Motocross Championship Series. All of these events will follow the same rental program described on this page. Each racer will need a transponder. Transponders will be available for racers to rent at the event only. To rent a transponder for the event, you may use cash or a Visa or Master Card. No checks will be accepted. There will be enough rental transponders at the track for each racer to rent. eScore will not offer transponders for sale at any events for 2010. If you wish to purchase a transponder you must go to www.mxtransponder.com and order one before the event.
