Qwicksilver owners help

I am gearing up for my pipe/filter upgrade and would lake to know where to start when jetting my quicksilver carb.
My mods wiil be as follows: WB R4 slip on, k&n,outerware,no airbox lid,welds ground in header, and the qwicksilver carb.
My elevation is 1100ft in NW missouri/SW Iowa were i ride.
The carb came to me with the 17 needle in it and I have ordered the 15 (the 13 is on back order). I am planning on starting with the 15 and hoping I dont need the 13. Suggestions?

Well my buddy ended up putting the 15 into his and he has a 440 kit in his. You should have got the 15 and 17 when you got the carb. You can try the 15 and start at the bottum and if it doesn't work go to the 13. Just pretty much start at one end and work your way up.

Yes your carb should have came with the 13e and 17e. Stock is 16 and going up richens the mixture from about half to wide open. If you go down a number that leans it out from half to wide open. I am running what comes in the carb, the 16e needle. I am also running 7 clicks from full rich on the idle to 1/3 throttle adjustment. Last night in 6 degree temperature my 440 started up without using the choke.

I take it this carb was bought used? If you need instructions or antying i can probably make a copy of mine for you.

ya i got it on ebay $240 shipped , it has the 17 needle in it and no tool, so i ordered the tool and the 15 needle
i had edelbrock send me a book, thanks though
i hope i dont need smaller than the 15 cause it was back ordered

not really. You better not need anything leaner than a 15. If you have any more questions just ask.
