any tricks for a cool (but cheap) front bumper?

Has anyone come up with an option for a front bumper without spending $100?? I have the ability to weld steel, so adapting a bumper from some other bike is possible. Just looking for a head start, any ideas?

I just bought a DG "V" bumper. Brushed alum but Im going to paint it black to match the bike a little better I think...

I was hoping to find a blingstar Iron Cross to match mine but no luck. Had to have a new one because the stocker got tweaked!
