View Full Version : Combining 2 different brands of exhausts.

So i have a FMF slip on exhaust, and i was wondering if i could use a different brand header pipe. The reason for me wanting to do this is because i dont think fmf has very good header pipes or they dont have a good selection on the web site. Also most of fmf pipes make the noise level quieter and i dont really want mine quieter.

you can do so with some different headers. the pro circuit one would probably not make it any quiter but the fmf power bomb will since it has the bomb on it. both would probably be a bit better but i would say that grinding the welds out of the stock one in the front would be almost as beneficial as an aftermarket header. It may not be quite as good but it will save you some green backs. steve

Ok thanks for the help. But were are these welds that you are talking about on the pipe. I may consider trying this. But im not sure what welds you are talking about.

Hey thanks for the info man. it helped out alot. Im acually going to do that tomarrow in shop class. Ill let you no wut i think of it when i get it done. Thanks again.
