I have a 3mm thick rotor on the left and a 2.5 mm thick rotor on the right. We Bled my brakes and when I press them only the left side locks up but the right side doesnt when I am riding. When I put it on a jack the left will stop and so will the right. Do the rotors in the front have to be the same Thickness?, thanks for any help

well they should be the same thickness but if you bleed them correctly both brakes will lock up equally even if one rotor is skinnier.

if they are bled correctly & this still occurs ...could a stickin/stuck piston..or perhaps they are hangin up on a hanger/slider pin

maybe the side that isnt locking up, has a slow leak in it, resulting in low preasure which would not lock up the pads, or a hung up piston,or airbubbles in the line

The side that isn't locking up might have a little bend in it. My suzuki had a bent rotor and that rotor never locked up. Just a thought.

more than likely the caliper and or pistons are hanging up. How old are the brake lines? I have seen them rupture internally, on cars, and partially restrict the flow. You could try swapping the lines.

Just a thought
